Butterfly-willies. BUTTERFLY-WILLIES! Those were Mike’s words to Michelle in the last email she would receive from her overseas soldier, the last email she would receive until she could hold him in her arms again for two weeks of R&R.
Some of you may remember the fall session I posted last October about Michelle’s surprise gift for Mike, a photo session loaded onto the computer she was sending over thousands of miles to him. Ever since then, we’ve been in count-down mode, marking off the days until he stepped off the plane and into her arms.
And on March 11th it happened.
(See? The butterfly-willies face!)
Michelle and I crowded around a large glass window waiting to see a glimpse of a tall man in ACUs walk down the steps of his plane. We rushed over to the hallway and waited anxiously to see him walk around the corner and into the “hug zone”. There he was. Mike. The man she hadn’t seen in seven months. The man she had been married to for only a week before he flew out. Mike. HER husband. Her heart walking around on two legs.
(She wasn’t excited. At all.)

LOVE THEM!!!! So FUN and grrreat! Thanks for doing this for me
Congratulations Mike and Chelle!
Love both of you.
And I love you Jenny. What a wonderful friend you are.
